I've already searched and I've read the black emblem threads. I've also already ruined two emblems and spent more than I would ordering one online.
Is it possible that the emblems are different on the 04 than they are in the older ones? On my emblems, the center part comes out, but it's not hard plastic. It literally peels out like a thick sticker. It's very soft and pliable, whether heated or not. I tried it both ways. It's impossible to get it out without marring it all up, and in fact some of it stays on the backing in chunks. It's very gummy. I was expecting a hard plastic plate that I could sand and paint like in the previous threads.
Anyway, my main question now is this: Where can I order one online for my '04 Explorer? I have looked far and wide and all I can find are smaller ones and overlay sitckers.
