Does anyone have pics of an X with black wheels on it? I've been seeing lots of jeep cherokees lately with black wheels and it looks so cool.

Looks nice...wish I could afford some now...

I think some big gunmetal rims on a street X would look real sweet

funny you should say that; ive been thinking about getting mine powdercoated gunmetal grey for a long time now - theyd match my bumpers and fender flares; i dunno if ill actually do it though.

Really, interesting, i want to get gunmetal rims on a black explorer, I haven't seen any trucks with em, but plenty of cars and I personally think they look good

new j**p liberties (special edition ones) come with gunmetal rims. theyre actually not bad looking wheels, its the rest of the truck that ruins it ;)

my rockcrawlers were $40 each new.

Yeah, I actually do have the money to spend on some >$100 worth of rims, but I think they only look good with larger tires (mud-terrain, superswampers especially), a lift, and a roof rack and/or extra lights mounted to the front on the truck. I have...let's see....carry the five...NONE of those...

I'm talking about off-road trucks, not the sport trucks...I'm clueless about sport trucks

Yeah, that is what they charge around here too. But I got mine for my spare tire for $25 new

$40 each? Why so cheap?

They are about the most basic steel wheels you can purchase. That makes them very popular for hardcore offroaders b/c they can be replaced real cheap if they happened to get bent or dented or the trail.

They are cheap because they are stamped steel.

Mine were almost impossible to balance with 31's. Steel is much heavier than aluminum as well. I sold mine almost as soon as I bought them.

Actually, they don't weigh much more than my stock cast aluminum wheels. Al is supposed to be much lighter, but stock al wheels aren't nearly as light as aftermarket ones. And they are perfectly balanced, inexpensive, and look great ;)

I saw some guys paint their wheels gunmetal, looked pretty sweet, but i dont know how it would hold up in winter...

the cheapest way of all paint them a semi gloss black thats what i did and they look brand new if you want pics email me lilbenzy@yahoo.com
they loook real good you cant tell if their custom or bought

Heres mine with American Racing black steel rims. There 15x10 with 4.25" back spacing and I only paid like $32-$35 a piece. I get them for alittle more then cost.
