Hey guys...
my sub makes a wierd vibrating noise now...sounds like something is vibrating in the box or in that passanger side area, but I can;t figure it out. the sub still hits and the foam is good, but my bro was saying maybe the voice coil is goin out? Anyone have similar issues? I like my music loud and I push that stock MACH 290 right to it's max. It sounds good, but I think this sub may be going out...
Also is it bad to crank it after it's been sititng in 0 degree weather overnight?
Thanks!

i wouldnt worry about cranking it after sitting in cold..itl take time to warm up though

but by pushing the stock sub to high volume u might have burnt the voice coil out..subs dont like to get hot they will start to smell and such ( been there =-))

the only thing i can tell u is to take it apart and see if any of the connections are losse because a losse connection can make all kinds of funky noises making u think u blew something up

if nothing is losse then its probably time to buy one of those thunderform 10" subs from MTX or JL

not what u wanted to hear uh? sry dude

Now the question is this: Pay ford my $50 deductable and have them do it, just buy an 8" aftermarket sub from work (Best Buy) and have them stick it in there, or just have the car audio guys totally replace all the speakers and amp(s) in the truck.

heres what id do...id replace the front and rear speakers with some 2-3ways(u can still use the stock deck..or go aftermarket if u want) then id buy one of the loaded thunder form boxs that fit where the stock sub fit..thats if u want to retain ur stock look and maximum cargo space

if u want to go a little wilder then that then i can help there to

here is a linky to the 10" mtx that I personaly would go for http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/products/enclosures/FEX10.cfm

as for the interio speakers..id just go with some alpines 5X7 in the front or 6x9s if u want to go through making/buying an adapter plate

I have a Rockford 6.5" sub in the back. In the cold, the bass is awesome, smooth and tight. But when it's warm, like yesterday (high was 84!!), the sub sounds like it's blown. Any ideas?

In my old EB, I replaced my stock sub with a JL 6w0

I replaced my stock SPEAKERS with Kicker 57's in the front and in the rear. I also Put in a Pioneer DEH-650 premier cd reciever(dam* nice too). I then put in a Kicker 15" Solobaric L7. Sounds good. Putting some bass blocker on tomorrow so i wont blow my speakers. if you have vibration it could be several things. id first turn the bass down on the reciever, still does it, then they might be blown. if the voice coil was burned up, you wouldnt hear anything except a lil mumble..
