The blinkers on our Explorer will stop working while say, sitting at a redlight, after about 15-20 seconds. Then later down the road at the next red light they work. Then after another period of time they stop again.

Any ideas?

That is a very good aid. Well done. Thank you in case that is what I'll be needing.

No problem, glad to help. I would recommend changing the flasher first, as swetrid said.

It will be cheaper than the multifunction switch. It's a PITA to change! Location is outlined in the owner's manual. If you don't have an owner's manual, Dead Link Removed.

Good luck.

Funny enough I had a similiar issue with my f-150... it was the hazard button getting stuck... it would think the hazards were on even though they weren't on, but because that button was apparently close enough to being on that it made the turn signals stop working... I cleaned out some gunk in there and then it started working fine :).

Thank you. That is the cheapest solution yet.
