Blower Motor

My 2006 eddie bauer edition blower motor will not turn off. it is stuck on mid range. the A/C still works fine. but i am constantly having to turn it off and on to keep from freezing to death. Also when i hit the off button the console turns off but the blower motor stays running. any advice would be much appreciate...

This happened on my '06. It's the Blower Motor Resistor which is located behind the glovebox. One of the bolts to remove is kinda hard to reach but it's still only a 10 min job. Part was about $60 and the dealer had it in stock as they are a common item to wear out.

I am having a similar issue with mine. fan speeds 1 works fine but speed 2 is the same as speed 1 and 3 & 4 work fine. I'm assuming that it is the blower motor resistor but can't seem to find a part number for this. I do have rear air if that makes a difference. Just wondering if anyone can lead me into the right direction to find this part.

I finally got the resistor in today. I have looked everywhere and still can not find its location. i even took the motor out thinking it could be inside the vents. any advice?

i just bought the resistor from ford. Part number is 4L2Z 19A706 AA. Hope this helps.
