BMW HID Ballast Died

Hey guys,
About 5 years ago I retrofitted a full BMW HID kit into my truck. Well today, one of the ballast died! I couldn't believe it. It's the stock BMW ballast I ripped out of a crashed bmw. My question is, where can I get a good ballast from? DDM Tuning doesn't sell spare ballasts. Any ideas where I can get a good one? Im scared to just search ebay and buy whatever. Thanks!

u might be able to get a cheapy one from dealextreme. but i know from other things i have bought the durablility and reliablitly are CRAPTACULAR!!!

It does happen. My grandparents have a BMW 335i and they had to get a ballast replaced as well. They went to the dealer, though, and I believe it was under warranty.

Theirs is pretty new, too. I was surprised. I saw them show up for dinner with only one projector lighting up and was like WTF? But apparently one day it decided it didn't want to ignite anymore.

But I would check maybe like repair shops in your area who specialize in German cars. I'm sure they could order one for you from somewhere. Or you could try and find another wrecked Bimmer.
