Alright, is it tru that a 4 door honda civic body kit will fit on a X? Also, does anyone know a estimated price for how much it would take to fabricate a fiberglass rollpan, with exit holes for my dual exhaust?

kids...

why dont you buy it and then tell us what happens?

Yes, a body kit for a civic (any year) will bolt right on. No fab work needed.

Also, to have a roll pan fabricated will cost about $6000.

Your signature is too long... it can only be a maximum of 6 lines at 800x600 dpi resolution... thank you for compliance.... if it is not shortened, a moderator may shorten it for you....

i need something to even it out, cause i want to set it on the ground, but the airdam hangs down farther than the running boards....so i need something to make them the same hight....and a rear bumper to even that end out too....any suggestions?

Sheet metal? Duct tape and cardboard?

yea runnin mouth on tha net sure is harsh...

I have heard people mention the Civic body kits in the past. I have no idea. Get one and you can always return it or sell it on ebay.

As for the pan. Several people, not on this site have them. Custom made. Hartman in making his right now.

Good luck

How about this? Grab a tape measure and take some rude measurements of your X. Then drive to the McDs, or Wal-Mart, or Mall and find a Civic. Take some rude measurements on it.

Do you really think that a kit made for a Civic would come close to fittin an Explorer? They are two entirely different vehicles you know? One is a little import sub-compact, and one is a mid-size SUV. Why in the world would you think that body kits from one would fit another?

About the fabbing of the rollpan. It is impossible to give you a price. You would have to get it done at a local shop, and it is impossible to determine what custom fab work would cost. You have to research that for yourself.

I heard this one too on here. Some frustrated guy talking trash about how too many members here are complaining about there's no aftermarket for us and we should shut up and make things work for us like this Civic bumper kit would fit in our X.

oh and rob, i have measured. my girlfriend ddrives a 99 honda civic. its pretty much the same size. and since most people say it will fit, why in the world would i think it wouldnt?

*sigh*

from what i understand, a 4door Civic kit will fit on a Sport explorer with minimal body work. if you are 4 door, you're screwed.

I have heard of Accord body kits fitting Sports. But why. It would be perfect if you're going for the world's first Rice-plorer.

Have you ever done any custom fabrication with fiberglass or steel? Do you know what you're getting into? You can't just take some Civic side skirts and slap em on with some sheetmetal screws. If you have no desire to learn how to fabricate, take your truck to a shop, give them your wallet, and they'll make you anything you want.

1999 Civic Sedan
Exterior
Length: 175.1 in. Width: 67.1 in.
Height: 54.7 in. Wheel Base: 103.2 in.
Curb Weight: 2339 lbs.

1999 Explorer XLT
Exterior
Length: 190.7 in. Width: 70.2 in.
Height: 67.7 in. Wheel Base: 111.6 in.
Curb Weight: 3891 lbs.

So, you want to make a kit from a car that is 67" wide and wheelbase equals 103" fit to a SUV that is 70" wide with a wheelbase of 112"?

1st, the name is Robb, not Rob!!

2nd, What exactly were you measuring? And what with? If these differences in measurements are "pretty much the same size" to you, then good luck!!

3rd, Who are these "most people" that say it will fit?

You're talking about the side skirts right?
