If I were to do a 2" body lift will I be able to get my brush guard to move somehow? I don't want it to be 2" too low after I lift it. Would have to fabricate custom brackets and how difficult would the whole process be?

I custom fabbed the brackets for my brushgaurd after I did the BL. I dont know how yours mounts but mine has brackets the brushgaurd bolts to. I cut about 8" out of those brackets and out of the brushgaurd so instead of having it come out underneath the airdamn (which i no longer have) it comes right out underneath the bumper.
I had to weld up the brackets and if you dont have access to a welder it will be hard to relocate the brushgaurd.

Do you think I would be better off with a suspension lift? How much do you think a decent 2" suspension lift would run with installation?

You can get a 2" lift for next to nothing. torsion twist in the front and lift shackles in the rear. the shackles run about 80 bucks from warrior. Do a search on the board and you'll find out more than you could ever want to know.

You could go with the 4" superlift i beleive they run about 1500. Im not sure how much installation would run im gonna guess atleast 500 but you should check around.

namitey: did you make your own bumper brackets?

I used the bumperbrackets that came with the kit, Though i did get the BL for the 98+ ranger.

On mine, I ended up just bolting the brushguard to the frame itself. I had to drill new holes in the frame right next to some existing holes but that wasnt too big a problem. I also had to grind a little off of my brushguard to clear under the front of the frame bumper brackets. It actually was all pretty easy, just time consuming. Bolting the brushguard to the frame itself is actually better im my eyes because its a lot more rigid than bolting it to some brackets and then to the frame. It dont wiggle and move nearly as much.
