OK guys. I was plasti dipping my wheels yesterday when i noticed something pretty bad. Idk what the parts are called so bare with me. If i can figure out how to post pics I will. Basically, The parts that connect the body to the frame are completely rotted and rusted away. I'm afraid of even driving my truck and I have to drive 13 hours to Jaxonville in a few weeks. The rubber spacers are just about gone and IDK what will happen when the body collapses. I need to get them replaced but IDK what to search for. I dont want to go to a dealership cause im sure they will screw me. I was also considering paying the extra money to put a 1 or 2 inch body lift since I have to replace all those parts anyways. What are yalls thoughts? I need help as far as knowing what the pasrts are called and whether or not I should go the lift option. Thanks Guys

I can't link on my phone easily but a good place to start is searching the thread "deteriorated body mounts". A few different searches with body mounts will turn up good results.

I wouldn't worry too much if you can't get them done before your trip. Do get them replaced asap though.

you would be fine on the trip if you cant get them all replaced in time. my dads blazer just had a body mount fall right out of it and it is still fine. probably wouldnt be good if they all broke off but its still okay to drive.

OK thanks guys. Body Mount is what I was looking for so I'm finding a lot on what I need now Thank you

ok thanks. I think ill just replace them and not do the lift. I'd rather just pay the money to do shackles, TT, add a leaf and /or load shocks
