did you disconnect the steering shaft before jacking up the body? Are you using the shaft extension that came with the kit?

steering shaft

yes i am soundd like its inside the column under the wheel pops every once in a while

very tight fit

i am gonna have it back in the garage today to put the hitch back on so i will check it out but i am thinkin maybe th u joint in the column it made a slight noise before when turned all the way to the left, but it is inside only, i can kinda eel it kinda scared to drive too far or fast

dont know but i am taking it apart and fixing it today cuz its makin me crazy

another thing is if you or someone else turned the wheel when the shaft was disconnected they may have put tension on or broken the clock spring.

That HAS to be what happened to mine.... Easy fix?

The clock spring will not cause noise it is only a wound electrical wire to connect the airbag to the computer it isnt actually a spring at all it is a super thin coil of brass wire on a paper backing and it will not cause a noise the airbag light will just come on and it is not repairable as i have replaced them before on other fords!

i pulled really hard on the wrenches and tightened up the steering extention and it seems better

i guess i put two wrenches together and really pulled and turned it a half turn so hope that cures it i will let u kno
