I've been focusing a lot lately on upgrading my 98 X, but a friend brought up an interesting point.

Will the modifications (TT shackles and aal, new tires, shocks, etc...) cause other parts of my truck to start to break or wear out faster?

SIDE NOTE: I'm definitely keeping the TT below 2"

She's had a good 189k on her. Just a quick question... Thanks!

How dare you? 98 isn't old!!!! =P

If you do it right, you shouldn't wear down anything too bad. The thing is, when most people mod.. they put the truck through some fun hell.

For example, if you get shackles.. your leaf springs will lose their arch faster... but if you do an AAL also.. it'll help.
TT, don't over do it.. get an alignment afterward...ect.. it all depends on what you want to do, and how you use the vehicle afterwards.
