Welcome to the site. Use the search feature that this site has. A torsion twist and shackles is a common/cheap lift. You'll need an alignment when you are done. Also, you can throw in a 3" body lift for a Ranger(not sure what year) and you will have about 5" of lift. This will allow you to fit 33s(a LITTLE bit of trimming might be involved), for under 350 dollars(with the alignment). :)

$350 without the cost of tires! ;) $$$

what are you talking about im sure thos 28's will fill in those wheel wells just great after 5" of lift! :p

LOL :D That's why I said "this will allow you to fit 33s for under 350 dollars." I never said anything about the fact that he'll be spending about 125 per tire. :D

A body lift will give you more height and a suspension lift will give you more ground clearence. If you want the lift for wheeling reasons go with the suspension lift. If you are just after the look go with the body lift.

i just got the 3" body lift on my 96 sport.... they used a ranger kit.... it looks "above " stock but still blows... i ma goin for the 6" suspension lift next.... just gotta save up for the damn tires..... 180 a pop.... geeeeeze what did i get myself into.....

Does anyone know what year the 3'' ranger body lift kit needs to be for a 4 door x?

Even if the lift is solely for cosmetic purposes, by all means go with a suspension lift. It will look hella better.
