Hi guys ,
Bought a 99 Explorer Sport 2 door with 112,000 KMS on it and it seems to be pretty minty.
I'm wondering what you suggest I do first in the way of maintenance/ pre-emptive work. My brother's F150'S tranny just went and the Ford mechanic told him those trannies should be flushed at 100,000 kms. OH, OH......
Are there any glaring problems that these vehicles have in common. I've heard the ball joints suck and there are transmission issues. My cruise control seems to cut in and out, sometimes working, other times not coming on.
I'm planning to bring it in to Ford for a once over but I want to have some idea of what to make sure gets attention.
I don't want to get ripped off either.
