- 2013 Explorer Sport
Hello Everyone,
This past Monday I finally admitted to myself that because of my back problems and a neck fusion it was becoming harder and harder to get into my 2010 Corvette. It was the third Corvette in a row that I have owned and I will miss it for sure.
So after we dropped my Wife's F-150 off at the local Ford Dealer for service we went to our local Chevy Dealer but couldn't find anything that I liked ot could get into and out of easily.
So we went back to the Ford dealer and found a really nice, 2013 Explorer Sport sitting in front of the building. It was and just "glowed" in the bright Florida Sun! We both liked the "look" of it!
So we went inside and got hooked up with a salesman and said we wanted to look at it. After he got some basic info from us we headed out to look at it.
DANG! Some SOB was headed out of the lot driving "our car" on a test drive. So we looked at some other Explorers, drove one, and decided that the ease of entry and comfort of the seats was a strong point. Just then "our car" pulled back into the lot and we asked our salesman if we could look at it. He found out that the SOB was going to "think about it" over night.
So we cut a deal and bought the car.
They gave me a more than fair trade in on my Vette and the normal $2.5K USAA discount so we drove the car home happy!
When I called USAA the next day to change my car insurance from the Vette to the Explorer they set me up with a 2.250% car loan for the balance and the following day paid of the 6.1% loan from Ford Credit.
So we are now a two Ford Family.
