Where can I find these?

It seems my local part stores no longer carry the simple dust boot and seal rebuild kit anymore, they want to sell the whole caliper.
I called NAPA and they said
a rebuild kit was $18.80,
I was like "What, How much for the whole caliper?
"17.97, after trade in for core charge"
"What, that can't be right, a caliper is cheaper than a rebuild kit"
"Yeah"
"That don't seem right"
"Well that's the price"
"OK, BYE"

EDIT: I found a brake parts store ACBRAKE downtown that carries the kits, $5.70 each. Thats more like it.

I also called AutoZone. No kits, and their calipers were $50. Wonder what the price difference is about?

What brand of pads do you suggest?

I usually like to get Bendix Pads, but no one seem to stock them right now.

Wagner?

Why do you want to rebuild it?

Ive given up rebuilding brakes, it is much more reliable and saves a ton of time to just put on the rebuilt caliper kits. IMO worth the 20 bucks.

I get the NAPA calipers loaded with the Application Specific - Application Engineered? I dont remember what they call them, pads. They seem to work very well.
Loaded calipers and new slide pins- few things to worry about.

The autozone calipers may come with pads- "loaded"

Good Luck
