I just installed brand new Bendix front rotors, Raybestos semi-metallic brakes, cleaned and re-gresed all slides and pins. When I test drove it, it chattered slightly when going around turns (90 degree turns at intersections). It did this even when not braking and going through the turn slowly...felt a bit like the binding of a 4x4 on pavement. Otherwise they work great. Is this just the tackiness of the oils on the rotor and binders in the new pads, or are the brakes dragging? The caliper mounting bolts and wheel lug nuts are torqued OK and the slides were greased.

Any ideas, or is this normal for new rotors until all the junk burns off?

It could be your rotors need to be cut. It is rare, but it can happen. At the shop I used to work at, every once in a while we would have to cut brand new rotors. The raeson is rotors sit stacked on top of each other at the warehouse. The weight of teh rotors on top can cause the rotors at teh bottom of the pile to become slightly warped.
It could be your pads, when I tried raybestos pads, they screeched like crazy and chattered like hell, so I got bendix pads and could not be happier.
