My parking brake light comes on? It has come on twice when I brake. I did notice that my brake reservoir is low. It does not come up to the max line. I have no leaks and braking problems. The brakes work great! What would cause the brake light to come on. I didnt yet try to pull any codes.

The brake warning light will come on when the fluid in the reservoir is low. As you brake some fluid temporarily leaves the reservoir which is why the light's coming on. Fill the reservoir up to the max line with DOT 3 fluid and the light should go out.

exactly, and there are ONLY 2 reasons for the fluid to be low..

1. brakes are getting worn, therefore more fluid stays in the calipers when pedal is released (this is normal).

2. A leak. NO leaks are acceptable in brake systems.

Topped her off on both my X's which had the same level in reservoir. The brake light doesnt come on now. I do my own brakes and always look for leaks. I think being 14 yrs old it just got alittle low. Like I said both my x's were at the same level. thx for the help MI,Bear:salute:
