Brake light mod

Are these LED 3rd brake lights plug and play?
For the white LED cargo lights, do those only come on in reverse?

Plug and play, and they wouldn't come on in reverse. They come on when you open the doors, unlock, etc like the factory ones. I bought 1 red, and 2 white plug and play leds from amazon and tinted it myself and saved about 90 bucks compared to recon.

Ok before I upgrade it, I need to fix the 2 white lights...they don't work and I just replaced all 3 bulbs. I heard this can be caused by a ballast going bad? Where is the ballast? If that's not it, what might be the problem with these 2 lights?

Do the LED replacement bulbs put out more light than the recon setup?
Because I want those 2 cargo lights to be as bright as possible. And what's the best way to tint the brake light?
