My third brake light is out, and I was just wondering: if I get pulled over for it, is it just a fix-it ticket, or is it like a real ticket? Thanks

im pretty sure that most police agencies would just handle it as an equipment violation ticket (ex: licence plates, bulbs burned out, wrong color bulbs, etc.) In that case, I'd guess that you just fix it and its done. I have two tickets for no front plate that I will get out of with one pretty little picture of my now front mounted plate.

Alright, cool. If it's something I can get out of at the time, I won't bother with it now. But if it's the kind of ticket where I have to pay $60 and it goes on my record, I'll get it fixed. Thanks.

you have a 94 Explorer. those dont use the LED brake lights, why dont you just buy the bulb and be done with it? It cant cost more than $6 to fix it and you wont leave any reasons for the cops to hassle you.

I will eventually. And actually, it's not just the bulb, there's a loose wire somewhere. About half the time the light's on, the other half it's not. But I know, I was planning on changing it this weekend or next, I was just curious.
