- 1994 explorer
Hi all- I have a 1994 explorer. The brake lights quit working so I bought a new switch and installed it. Turns out the switch itself was not really the problem. After many hours of trying to get it to work I noticed the brake peddle did not have enough play in it. Just trying different things I finally removed the plastic bushing from the assembly and that gave it enough room to close the switch and the lights work fine. Question is should I leave it this way or is there some kind of adjustment that can be done to the push rod?
Thanks for any help.
