Okay, my brake lights went out, and trial and error (as far as I could) lead me to get a new brake light switch.

Most accounts that I have found here say that this is a 1 minute job, but 45 minutes later, I still couldn't get the enough movement on the pushrod to put the retainer back in. The plastic washers get in the way, as well as the bushing. I assume I can't just leave these out.

Do I need to bend the switch or use clamps?

TIA.

PS have a 93, but I don't think that matters

OK, I'm a dumba..

Needed to read the diagram better. Probably wouldn't have hurt to not start at 10PM.

AAAHHHHH!

I am simply but the new one does look like the old one withthe holes and stuff in teh same places. Auto parts places have been known to hand people the wrong parts. . . silly question I know but some times it is the silly stuff that screws us up the most. . ..
