What exactly do you need to know? The brake hose starts at the fitting to the right of the coil in your picture, and runs outside the coil over to the caliper.

I need to know where it goes from the fitting on the right.. I can't find the line under the air filter box. .

I just looked on my Ranger, it should be the same on your Ex. The hard line runs inside the frame rail and down the front of the engine crossmember, then come up and joins a T fitting at the driver side brake line.
I'll take a pic if you need...

You should be able to see it from the front of the vehicle if you squat down. They follow the contour of the i-beam suspension.

A tip if you have to open the system: wedge something to lightly press the brake pedal. I used a heavy toolbox against the floor. Just barely enough to cause the lights to come on. This will prevent the lines from draining and you can leave it that way for hours without having to worry about the master cylinder.

Maybe take your wheel off get a better look..

I'd get a small container like a medicine bottle and fill it with some kind of light oil like ATF or if you really want to have fun, PB Blaster. Let it sit overnight then take the brake hose and put that big nut into a vice and have fun with a pair of vice grips on the broken fitting.

You can probably get the end of the brake line flared again and have a new fitting on there or you might take the opportunity to replace the whole thing.

Got the nut out with the help of a torch and Wd40:D:thumbsup:

If you went to the trouble of putting new hard lines on, I would have thrown on a new rubber line too, get rid of that whole mess. Got any pictures or suggestions that might help other people?

i dide't have new rubber hoses here.. and the fact that i live in norway means that i need to order parts from USA and wait for 10+ days to get my parts..
The Explorer is my only car and i need it for a job interview on monday.. so i just had to get it done.. i can try to take some photos later.. but it was a easy job to do when i first found out that the brake lines goes fromfeder to fender.. just took it out and my local part store made me a new line with fittings in copper
:)

Ohhhh, I missed that :) Great job then.
