What kind of brake pad life are owners experiencing?

My 05 got about 60,000-miles before replacing front and rear.

my 04 replaced at 60 k and rotors

At the dealership most come in around 50-60k for the front and rear. Much better pad life then previous years.

Depends whether highway or city driving, and on how they are wearing and if everything is working properly. I've gotten more than 60k of mostly highway driving if everything is wearing evenly and the calipers are doing their proper job. I've also gotten a lot less than 60k. On my current Explorer, I changed rotors and pads at about 40k, because I had a seized caliper pin.

Thanks all for reporting in, good info.

I'm at 52K miles, still got original pads.

I had to do mine around 70k, front and rear both pads and rotors.

I've got my '08 at the dealership right now. They're replacing the wheel bearings and mentioned I only have about 1000-1500 miles left on the front brakes. The car's got 48,000 on the clock. But I'm not sure how much I believe them

IMO, check the brakes yourself.

Yes, checking remaining pad material is always best way to determine remaining pad life for a given truck.

But what we are getting here are multiple owners reporting on brake pad and rotor life based on their actual replacement experiences.

We got 44k out of the fronts, I just changed them last week. Only had 1-2mm left

Roughly 70K miles on mine before changing rotors and pads.
