After a couple of weeks with my Moorse ceramics you can only see that there is dust on the rims if you wipe your finger across them. What brand did you use? Now my truck gets dirty before the rims and tires do.

Yeah, mine came with the self-adhesive shims. I sprayed the pads down with brake parts cleaner and slapped 'em on......

I wish I had done that, would have saved me a lot of trouble. I chalk this up to yet another example when I try to do the right thing causing myself more work in the end. Part of my "Master Plan".

spta...yeah, i'm going to need to change my approach to the "wash-truck-by-brake-dust" calculation. With winter coming, it's more road-salt that i'll need to watch...

Luckilly I got mine used so it was pre-rusted ;) I do like to wash it in the winter (all cars) so i got a garage heater and some neoprene gloves. I pull it out in the driveway, wash it, then pull it in the garage and dry it off. Last year when I had my maxima the water was freezing on the roof!

How do you wash it in Buffalo?

VERY QUICKLY :D ....although i'd much rather do it myself at home, i've got no garage to dry it off in and the fact that it ices over just as quickly as it gets wet makes it a b!tch. On occasion i'll go to a "quickwash" self-service wash station, but generally in the winter i'll spend the $11 every other week on the professional auto wash with the 5-day free wash guarantee.
