Brake Pads

Could someone recommend a brand/type of brake pad that will improve the braking response on a 99 4DR 5L Mountaineer.

I have alot of meat on the pads but I would like to improve the braking.....

I have liked my EBC pads and rotors. They work well, have little dust.

If you seriously want better brakes, take your time in finding a pair of rotors and spindles from a 2001+ Sport Trac or 01+ Sport. The rotors are 1" larger, and you don't need to change calipers or pads. If you you go that route, make sure that the spindles are a match for your vehicle(2WD or 4WD), and get the dust shields also.

I've found a pair or spindles for $100, but haven't had time to get them. I already have drilled 12" rotors waiting. Good luck,
