Brake problem

There's a small switch attached to the parking brake pedal mechanism (and it's a parking brake, not an emergency brake). It's one of the things that will make the BRAKE light come on the dash to remind you to release the parking brake. The switch is very sensitive and will turn the light on with the slightest bit of movement to the parking brake pedal. I suggest you find somewhere else to rest your foot. The BRAKE light will also come on if you're low on brake fluid, but that subject was already covered.

I've since found a new foot rest, just figured it was worth mentioning the sensitivity of the dash light coming on because of the parking brake since I've had the brake light come on as well and originally thought it was a real issue only to find the pedal was depressed one centimeter.

I know you're young and think doing burnouts is "cool", but it's really tough on your vehicle. Especially a 22 year old 4,000 pound vehicle. At this rate you will be destroying your ride in no time. Here's a tip. Every time you do a burnout, throw a $50 bill in the glove box if you're a DIY'er. If you're not a DIY'er, make that a $100 bill. That way when you break your truck you'll have the money to repair it. Parts are expensive, labor is really expensive.

Yea, I ain't the smartest at all, but I ain't doing no burnouts or stuff like that no more. Appreciate the advise guy!
