BRAKE ROTORS- Powerslot or Brembo?

are you sure you could tell? or do you just want to believe that the rotors you bought give you what you were looking for? i mean, how many people buy cross-drilled rotors and have expectations of crap?

mercedes/bmw might be nice, but they're no ALMS or SCORE race cars.

and the mustang convertibles aren't even close to 4000 lbs. 3658 lb is definitely no where near 4000 lbs. that's a 350 lbs of difference. do you realize how much 350 lbs of weight can make on stopping distance? that's around 8 spare tires in the trunk and back seat of that mustang just to get it at 4000. plus another 400-500 on top of that for an suv. and you think the brakes mustang will be working just as hard as a "midsize" suv?

as long as you live in flat areas and don't plan on doing 60-0 stops 100x times a day, be it cross-drilled or slotted or both, i doubt catastrophic rotor failure will be a concern. but if you tow...i would suggest you reconsider cross-drilled rotors.

i've heard they have great pads, now what about these rotors on tirerack, 50 bucks a set? that doesn't even seem possible. EBC
has anybody had experience w/these?
 






Not to get involved in the drilled vs non-drilled holy wars here, but.....

I have EBC sport rotors that are slotted and "dimpled". Not through drilled, so to avoid the whole cracking rotor issue, but enough to dissapate brake gasses and give the pimp look if that's what you call it.

I also have the green stuff brake SUV brake pads (one level down from their best).

I did my research and this is what I found to be the best price/performance comparison. As for performance on my truck? It is significantly better than stock. But ultimately I wish I had larger rotors or more pressure to help stop my 35"s, but that's a different story.
 






i like to know how everyone here knows that the brake pads they have emit "gasses" under braking. and what do you do to take your brake pads to the point of getting them so hot that you believe they create trapped gas. and perhaps if you've considered getting non piece of **** brake pads that don't have this problem. this myth of gasses.....where the hell is it coming from?
 






I'd like to know where your getting all your facts here....because it seems that somebody else has corrupted you with false information....

the be all end all cross-drilled discussion:

i apologies, i spewed misinformation...surface area does not directly aide in fade reduction. the first step in fade reduction is to pull the heat generated from the brake pads onto the rotor. this is done by mass of the rotor...the more massive, the more heat it can pull away. surface area aides in the radiation of the pulled heat, the bigger the surface area, the faster the brake rotor can cool.
