brakes locking up.

when i apply my brakes hard going over bumps or on water my brakes lock up what are the verdicts on what it can be. I dont know much about cars so please help.

I had a problem with my rear brakes locking up when my rear axle seals went bad. The fluid from the rear end leaked into the brakes and caused them to lock up when I touched the brake.

i think its the rear it just started happening
