I searched the forum and can't really find the answer so...

This morning I noticed on my way to work when I go to stop, as soon as I apply brake pedal pressure I get a dull thump sound and can feel it through the floor boards. At higher speeds, say over 35 mph, I do not feel it. It brakes fine. Had brakes and calipers replaced this past October, so I hope that is not it. I don't see any obvious damage through the wheel. The thump is coming from the Front driver side.

Any ideas?

check that the caliper bracket anchor bolts are both there. i had one work its way out and when i hit the brakes, it would slam the caliper assembly forward into the spindle making a thunk and you could definitely feel it. still stopped the truck fine though, but i wouldn't want to drive around with it doing that. the bolts i'm referring to are #16 in the pic attached.

also, could be that the drive shaft slip yoke needs to be lubed. does it ever make the sound if you gun it from a stop?

Nope, just when I brake. The brake job is under warranty, I am going to drop by there today and have them look under it.

Well, Brake place just called and said everything in the brake assembly is good and tight.

Sounding more like a bushing, but would one make that kind of sound?
