Hi all im planing a trip to tractor supply for hose to extend my drivetrain breathers. My questions are what size do i need? Is 175 high enough temp for the tranny line? About how many feet should i need? And is the addition of a filter under the hood important on the lines? As usual i realy appreciate any and all advise!

I can answer a couple of the questions...

The factory Diff breather lines didn't have a filter but it won't hurt to add one. I connect my front and rear diff breathers into a single line and run that under the hood. My trans and transfer case also share a line.

But, the a4ld breather line "may" have holes in it at the top. If so, you have to figure how you want to run a breather line on the a4ld so those holes aren't used anymore.

There is no fluid in the lines (or pressure) so temp or pressure won't be an issue. I'm just using fuel line. I guess if you wanted you could use oil resistant line but its not necessary.

Thanks i appreciate the knowledge. Im removing a tranny disconnect and putting a drive shaft back, so i figured i would remove the crossmember and lower tranny so i can get to the nipple. I tried to see the holes but not a chance untill its lowered.
