I have broken the rear coil spring (driver side) on my 2003 Ford Explorer (v8 4x4 xlt 4door). I called around a few scrap yards and a few of them told me that I also had to buy the shock because they come as one. Is this true? Sounds like BS.
Can I just buy a single coil spring, and have it installed? If I buy new, Does it matter if I don't change the other one? Do I have to change both if I find a used one? Do you recommend I stay away from used coil spring??
I had no luck with local scrap yards, Anyone know where I can find one?
