Broken Door Handle

Ive got a 2004 Explorer XLT Sport Trac with 75K miles, the passenger front door has always been "hard" to open since Ive bought it. Now its snapped on one side and apperently the outside handle is attached on both sides, but one side is broken. Its gold in color, any suggestions or link how to fix? thanks

There's a slight possibility I may have a gold one. I'll try and and remember to dig for it tomorrow

If you are talking about replacing the outside door handles. I did all four of mine a couple months back. One was broken other two springs were just worn out. Only one was in decent condition. I attempted to use a center punch at first to remove the rivets and realized it was not going to be that easy. I just opt'd to go straight to drilling the damn things out of there. Once they were out took all of 5mins to remove and replace them.

Mine are now all black on my Teal Trac. When I got it painted just a few weeks back I had them leave the handles black as I think it looks better that way.
