broken mirrors.

hey.. i recently had an idiot think my truck was a punching bag and punched my drivers side mirror... busted it up pretty good. i only have p.l.p.d. on my truck.. for those who dont know it means they dont cover ANYTHING. so i need to know if i can just replace the glass, or if i have to replace the whole unit.

their is also the need to replace the rearview mirror. that busted off due to a big ass stereo system.

anyone know if i need to get the whole units or if i can just get individual parts? the dealership said i need the whole thing.. at about $160 each.


if any of you have a junkyard or something like that, or can get me these parts.. i'll pay a nice price. i cant float 300 bucks.. but i think i could give up 120 or so for both... let me know.

Any of the local glass shops in GR should be able to order just the glass, its about $30. I had one replaced last fall, I cant remember any of the shops, but call around, someone may have one, if not they can order one...

Wait, don't the Limiteds have heated mirrors?? If so, get one that is specifically for your mirror.

Limited have you checked Ebay under Explorer parts. I just saw a bunch of mirrors for $65, that was for the complete unit, not just the glass. Might be worth checking out.
