broken power mirror switch?

ok i've been wanting to figure this out for a while now.
when i first got my truck i didn't realize that you have to return the mirror switch to the middle, or the motor for it keeps running
so i forgot one night, and i bumped it when i got out...and the power mirror motor ran all night. the next day when i realized it. i tried to use them, and when i did the mirrors just went all the way up.
how do i fix this? is it the switch deal on the driverside panel that i just take out and replace?
i'd like to get it fixed if i could...

The switch is an easy fix...I had to replace mine cause of rain one time. I think it was only about $24 from ford.

Sounds to me that the motor in your mirrors might be burnt up. The switch would probably be bad too, cause they don't run (normally) if left in the left or right position.
