broken tailgate because of bass?

my power lock no longer works on my tailgate i push the lock button and the tailgate stem goes down but pops right back up, is this because of the bass rattling it so much? my friend has a 95 with 2 rfz 15 and has similar problems. whats goin on?

probablly just a bad lock solenoid.. I dunno about everyone else, but this is common for me.. my rear driver side door's has gone out twice in the past 2 years. I doubt the bass has anything to do with it.. unless you're hitting like 170, but you wouldn't be physically healthy enouhg to notice this lock problem at that spl

I agree. I have a 91 too, and the switches are going out as well. I think it's just getting old. I figure at ten + years, if that's the only one going out so far, you're still in good shape.
