Am i losing power because of this?

ok i have my amp bridged to my subs and im wondering if im losing power because of it because it sounded louder in my tahoe without the bridge and then i decided to bridge them in my explorer but im wondering if its an air space difference or anything..

i have a rockford fosgate 1400 watt amp
2 rockford punch hx2's

I would think its the airspace or something because the amp should put out more bridged.

how do you have the subs wired? 4 ohms mono I assume. Did anything else in your setup change, direction of the subs etc.

what dave said or maybe head unit , line voltage , gain levels, the explorer is know to be a loud so im not to sure its the truck more like equip or install.
