Recently, the temperature control dial on my 2004 Ford Explorer XLT stopped working. The blower puts out cold air regardless of dial position. When the dial is turned toward hot, a clicking sound comes out near the foot vents on the driver and passenger side, and the blower continues to put out cold air. A few seconds after turning back to cold, the clicking stops. Is there an easy way to dismantle the ventilation system and fix the problem?

Thanks for the link, video exactly describes the problem.

Replacement part number 2L2Z19E616BA. Make sure you use an oem unit to replace. I tried an aftermarket and did not fit right. I bought from here
