A few months back I got a flat tire on my passenger side front. Not having the money to replace all four tires at the moment, I threw on the spare (which was the original spare with full tread by the way) just until I could save a few $ to get a used tire.
Upon putting on the spare, I immediately noticed that my Ex. started making a growling kind of noise. (I assume that was the 4WD kicking in-and-out due to the tires being miss-matched sizes?) With no other choice but to drive it, I continued that way for about 2-3 weeks back and forth to work, until I was able to get the tire. After having all 4 tires 99% the same again it seemed okay...for a few days that is.
Then the noise came back, and it's till making that noise! Sometimes I need to get off the gas and back on to try and get it to go away. What could have possible gone wrong with driving it for that time?
