I know this isnt the right forum for this, but can you believe there is no buick enthusiast forum out there? Other then buickforums.com which is tiny and of no help.
Heres the question, i am looking into buying a Buick Park Avenue (97) as a daily driver/second vehicle. it's got hte GM 3800 engine (3.8L) but isn't supercharged. When I look on ebay I see dozens of superchargers for the 3800, but I dont know if its all the same supercharger that fits every vehicle or if its different for each year, or what! Im not very supercharger savvy nor am I GM engine savvy so I'm not sure what could be different.
I'm not sure if they do it like Ford, they have the 4R70W in several different vehicles, but its actually a different housing, different connectors, etc.

How about a Grand National site? I'm sure they would know about 3.8 supercharger.

My buddy at work has a 96 Rivera which has the 3.8 supercharged.Very reliable motor

yeah, but I wonder what is involved with taking a supercharger from one 3800 and putting it into another one, wonder what all is required, etc.
Too bad theres no enthusiast forums out there for BUicks, but I guess most people that have them (65+ years) wouldn't know how to use the internet anyways.

I know one thing I would not want to mess with that motor.I have never seen more wiring in a car in my life.

Matt what you really need is another X !:D Sorry im no help with your real ?.
