BUMP STOP ELIMINATOR KIT

I'm looking for a bump stop kit for my 08 explorer. I put in a traxda leveling kit and my alignment guy said I need to find a bump stop eliminator kit? He said he cant remember which mustang kit fits and works with my explorer Help!!! I didnt know where else to post. Thank you for any help.

I'm trying to update it but it's called a bump stop eliminator kit. When I go over bump it bring the toe in and causes bump steer. And since it's not an actual lift kit it doesn't come with a bunch of bushings and what not just came with spacers

all I know is what my old school alignment guy told me. He said becuse the toe is under stress from leveling kit when I go over a bump it causes the explorer to swerve a little because its bringing the wheels in too much so he said a bump stop eliminator kit. Again I have no idea if I'm even explaing right I'm going off memory from a couple weeks ago

lets talk it out.
a bump stops job is to stop the control arms from traveling up too high so the tire doesnt hit the fender or so the shock doesnt bottom completely. whichever comes first.
eliminating a bump stop will let the tire move up into the fender MORE.
theoretically, if your problem is as explained by the old school alignment guy, eliminating a bump stop will make your issue worse because the wheel will have a longer range of motion.
how much of a lift did your spacer give you? is your upper ball joint maxed out angle wise? because if so that could play a part in making the vehicle feel like its swerving over a bump
i would take it to another alignment shop.

So maybe the rubber stop isnt long enough to stop the wheels possibly and it's too short so the wheels are traveling too far ? Ummm I think it was 3 inch front 2.5 in rear. And yes I'm replacing upper ball joints on each side every 2-3 years and I only found one company that makes extended upper control arms with uni- balljoints I think they're called and a pretty price of like 630$ for the pair

theres nothing wrong with your bump stops i promise.
"and yes" as quoted above..... does that mean the upper arm ball joint is maxed out angle wise at ride height? because if so thats your problem. the more expensive kits with uniball upper arms are more expensive because they fix this pivot angle issue and give you a better ride overall
also, you dont want an extended control arm. you just want one made for the added angle that your upper arm is seeing because of the lift.

but first and foremost, id go to a different alignment shop

He's talking about a bumpsteer kit, they are use on vehicles that have been lowered.

The only thing the bump steer kit will do is limit the distance the wheels can turn. It's a spacer on the inner tie rod. It won't help you at all. You need to change the upper control arms, or take the leveling spacers back out.
