- 2000 Ford Explorer
Just purchased a used 2000 Ford Explorer yesterday (approx 144k miles) and am smelling a burning smell coming from the left front by the plugs and what I think is the transmission.
The vehicle was well-maintained by a single owner. It just passed inspection, had regular service (have the maintenance records as proof) and no sign of previous issues. The transmission fluid level is fine, oil was just changed. There is no sign of any spilled fluid anywhere under the hood.
It is running fine, no other symptoms of problems.
Any ideas as to what it could be?
