Buttons on steering wheel

My '94 explorer has cruise c. (know that) but there are 2 buttons i don' know what do, its rst and crt (or sum rct og crt or sum ****) so... anyone gonna help the noob also a online onwers manual would be fine

cst is coast rst is reset they work your cruise control as well.

while you are in cruise control and you are coming up on slower traffic you can hit coast...instead of hitting your brakes...then you can hit rst or resume, and it will kick you back up to the same speed you already had set before....be careful though...i have hit that button by accident and almost rearended someone, lol....

My 94 doesn't seem to work that way. If I have cruise on (say 65), and hit Coast, the truck will slow down as long as I hold in that button. When I let that button go, it stays at that speed (say 55). If I hit the brakes, then hit resume, it goes back to the last cruise speed (55), not the original cruise speed (65).

I confirmed this last night, both in practice, and in the manual (page 100-104). Wanted to make sure I wasn't hallucinating for the past 8 years...

Using Coast lowers the speed and resets the setpoint. Hitting Resume after that brings you back to the last setpoint (in this case, lowered).

Again, this is on my 94 XLT (Gen1). Maybe they changed the functionality for Gen2?

No, that's pretty much how every cruise control works, at least in every vehicle I've driven. 'Cruise' and 'Accel' functions change the speed your cruise control is set to, while hitting the brakes just disengages cruise control, and the 'Resume' function takes you back to that set point.
