On my 96 4.0 ohv Sometimes when coming to a stop or after I've already stopped I can hear a noise under the dash. It's almost as if abs activates but I have no pulsation. It's like an errrrrrrrr noise and lasts a few seconds. Its a very noticeable buzzing noise. No vibrations or anything though. Has anyone else experienced this?

Squeal? Cold out? Slippery? ABS Motor. Mine does it when its cold also.

It will do it whenever. Dry, wet, slow braking, hard braking, hot, cold, etc. it's not every stop but it is several times a day.

Im at a loss for sugestions.

Ill take a video so u guys can hear when it happens an hear the noise.

This noise is still happening. So I removed the abs fuse and no more buzzing. Where should I start looking? Check all the abs sensors? Can they be cleaned?

There's an abs motor. But...Why is the abs always thinking a wheel is locking up? I think thats the real question.

The only sensor are front wheel bearings, and rear diff as far as I know.

Bad wheel sensor connector, or a wheel bearing. You will see the wire at each front wheel.

Mine does the exact same thing, it only used to do it when the wheel was almost at fully lock, not it does it at every stop, but only when the truck is cold, when it warms up, it only does it every so often. I have a feeling that one of the sensors has grease messing with the tone wheel, so it thinks that the wheel is locked up. But for now the truck stops, and it is WAY to cold to be outside trying to fix it...
