Am I right in thinking that I would need a 99 BW4406 with elec shift to work on my 99 sport with the elec shift?

Or can I go with any year?
Also, what engine size and vehicle would I get it from?

Thanks guys

Si

Sorry Si, but the 4406 t/case will not bolt to the transmission in your sport.
It will only bolt up to the transmission in the 5.0 liter trucks (the 4R70W transmission).
Unless there is an adapter of some kind, but I have not heard of one.

Ok, I was not aware of your intentions to do the V8 swapover. Sounds like it will be a fun truck once your done.
I would think you could find an E-shift 4406 t/case from an Expedition and make it work if you can verify the wiring.
I am no expert on the Expeditions and what year they changed (maybe someone else knows this??), but as long as it was the same body style as a 99 or a 2000 Expedition, it would work. I know for a fact that the 4406 E-shift was in those years from junkyard diving for parts for the swap I just completed a few weeks ago.

I know when you do the swap in a 4 door you need to change the petrol tank over the smaller Sport tank, due to the much larger Electric 4406 TC. I don't know if anyone has done the E4406 swap in a Sport...

Well, It's not like it's gonna be going anywhere anytime soon, so I might aswell give it a try, if I can get it to work, then that's awesome, if not, then I'll have to go manual.

But, in the meantime, if anyone knows what year/model to get the correct one from and whether or not I'll need the whole transmission wiring loom that'd be great.

Thanks

Si
