I've noticed a few different things "wrong" with my truck lately and I'm still in the quest for an answer.

The problems seem to be getting worse so I think it's time to really investigate. Heres what I got.

clicking type noise from the front left. (usually only on turns, but doesn't always happen)
This makes me think it's a JV joint, but my experience with Front wheel drive, usually you see the boot fall off before you hear anything.

slight pull to the right when driving

major pull to the right while brakeing
This makes me think its brakes

Ball Joints ? When I bought the truck with 60k they told me there was some wear, but I'd notice when I go over a bump it would sound like the front end was about to fall off. Now I have 93k ? But not that sound.

Clunk when wheel spin in 4WD
This again leads me to think CV because the Control track uses CV joints and no hubs.

In addition I know that my front diffy has a slight seal leak, but the fluid seems level and clean and my steering boot (lower) is bad.

Any thoughts are welcome.

How do I check to see if it's a CV joint or not?

What else could it be?

same problem here......CV Joint has a slight tear in it, but not throwing much grease. My truck shakes bad at 70+mph....hasn't had alignment or tire balance in quite a while....any ideas?

balance the tires first, then look into alignment. If it's not pulling when coasting your alignment is prolly fine. Have the boot replaced and re-geased. This will save you from damage. Mine are torn at all from what I've noticed.

The shaking is probably unbalanced tires.

I'm hopeing to take a deeper look into this on Friday and replace my breaks. I'm not sure how to check the CV joints but maybe with the tire off I'll find something.

I'm going with new tires after I solve this problem 'cause I need them anyway, but I don't think that tires have anything to do with this problem.
