CA Explorer and Emissions

Aloha Everyone, I own a 2000 Explorer XLT which I got at the local Ford dealership here in Hawaii. Did some research and found out it was a fleet car originally from California. Can anyone tell me about the emission laws of that state and if there are any special mods that were done on my Explorer by Ford, it being a California car? Carmax doesn't tell me much, and the local dealer is lost on the question.

It may or may not have a bit different computer program, but besides that should be the same. It used to be common for CA cars to be different and with slightly less power, but it's rare to have a CA car be very different nowadays; pretty much any car sold in the US can pass CARB.
