Wanted Caliper Spring Clip

Hi All,

Hope you don't mind a 'foreigner' visiting your forums...

I'm looking for a part number for the disc brake caliper spring clips from a 2003 - 2005 Explorer Sport Trac 4x4.

I have a set of Exporer brakes on the front of my Jeep and tweaked a couple of the clips. The local Ford dealer hasn't been a lot of help -- they keep asking for a VIN; I give them my Jeep VIN, but it doesn't seem to work!

Anyway, hoping one of you guys can help me out.

Actually, I think you went to the wrong place for those. Try a NAPA, or any other GOOD auto parts store..ie; avoid autozone, pep boys and the autoparts supermarket style store. They will be alot more helpful. Its probably part of a hardware kit.

Yup, IIRC, they look like the bottom clips (don't have them in front of me...)

And I would expect no less from the loyal "Blue Oval" crew! And I humbly bow :notworthy and say 'thanks' for the help!

The 'Heep' crowd would do no less...

That should be the inboard and outboard clips. All comes in that kit, around $20.

I shouldn't tell it but I have a Heep "4.0L High Output" emblem on my tailgate......:smoke:

Well it doesn't say Heep anywhere.......... I like the H.O. part.
