2005 Explorer
I live in Ecuador and need your help.

I have a Ford Explorer and the 10th digit in the VIN is a 6. HOWEVER - when I bought parts like end links and ball joints the 2006 parts would NOT fit. So I tried the 2005 parts. The 2005 parts fit. I think the Ford's here come up through Venezuala?

My question is... with these particular 2005 parts fitting my Explorer can I assume that ALL 2005 parts will fit? I need to know so I can order some parts from the USA. All parts here are waaaaay over priced!

I will be needing things like:
- rotors [F&R]
- brake pads [F&R]
- struts [F&R]
- Wheel Bearings [F&R]

Thanks guys!!! I am new on the forum and really appreciate your help!!

Take a picture of the truck and the rear suspension and post it

Google a 2005 and then Google a 2006. On the image search, which years headlights do you have?

It's definitely an 05. That is, it's not an 06.

Welcome aboard btw. When using photobucket, when you click to get links, one of the options states 'forums' I believe. The last one maybe. If you use that, the pics will display in the forum itself. We here love pics.

Number4: Thanks again! I do not see a way to display pics in the forum. I must be looking in the wrong place?

With a paid membership to the forum, you can post pictures directly. This is the preferred method because the pictures stay with the forum.

I use Photobucket, solely for the purpose of this forum. Click on your picture in Photobucket, then click share or get links. Use the bottom link under IMG for sharing pictures. Once you click on it, it copies the link. Then you just paste it into the thread. At first, it'll just show as a link but when you complete the post it'll appear as a picture. Again, if you ever move, remove or delete the picture from your Photobucket, it's also deleted from the forum. Which sucks for future users.

So, go back to your post with the Photobucket link, and remove your link and add the link as I've described. Then your Ex will appear as a picture.
