I have searched but couldn't readily find a difinitive answer...
do I need to remove the intake manifold to get the entire cam position sensor (whole assembly, w/ oil pump shaft, stator, etc.) out?
I just replaced a blown '99 4.0L w/ a '98 4.0 and didn't realize one is a 2pin connector & one is a 3pin connector until it was all installed & put together...the stators are different & the sensor itself is not interchangeable between the two different assemblies, apparently.
