Can´t switch from 2wd to 4wd during drive

Hi!

Just got a problem with my ´95 Explorer.
I can´t switch from 2wd to 4wd during drive.
After a minute or so the 4x4 and 4low lights are flashing.
I can switch to 4wd when the car stands still.

Are you trying to switch to 4auto or 4low? You can only switch to 4low while at a stop with the brake depressed and the tranny in neutral.

I wanted to switch to 4auto.

I have searched the forum. Can it be the speed sensor?

If the speedometer works correctly, it's not the speed sensor. Does your ABS work properly? Are your rear tires spinning, but the front ones not when this happens, or are you driving down the road?
